The funniest thing I have seen during this outbreak and quarantine, are people complaining that the church's are closing their doors to keep people safe. The people that are complaining, don't even go to church!
Now I've read the Bible a few times. I never once read a story about Jesus stopping someone for doing something stupid. he's always let them do it. oh he might warn them, he might strongly suggest not doing it, but if they really wanted to do something stupid, he be there to pick them back up.
even in these trying times, the churches are doing their best in one of those things is not getting everybody sick. I have noticed that many churches are working more on Outreach programs. they are bringing their faith out into the world and helping people. I seriously doubt this is a bad thing.
They are even bringing sermons online. I love this idea as I can watch one preacher and then when he's done go watch another. Sherry and I can also lay in bed naked eating popcorn and drinking milk. something that I am certain almost all churches would frown upon, but I can do it at home.
they are also paying a little more attention to the elderly and disabled. Sherry and I don't like people hanging out at our house but it's sure nice when people just drop by to make sure we're okay, have a little chitchat and then on their way.
also being at high risk to catch this illness it sure is nice to know a few churches in Turley we'll send someone to the store for us. I've been to the store a few times, and I am worried about the car no virus and the fact that the idiots are spraying Lysol all over the place that affects my COPD.
with that said, I am getting bits and pieces of what may be going on in Turley this year. some really cool stuff is in the works. I'm not going to say anything until I have definitive answers but I think you all will be pleasantly surprised.
I also know that Jason is thinking about getting a little farmers market going. of course the elderly and disabled they can't Garden will be getting free fruits and vegetables. everyone else can pay for it and hopefully I'll have even a better Garden next year.
Of course we will still have the same old problems we need to overcome. I'm not talking about people that work all hours of the day and night but the complainers that could help but refuse to. and of course we can't forget the special group of people that will try to shoot every idea down because their life is miserable and pathetic.
remember Turley, we can't make this a better place without everybody chipping in.
